Women’s Ministry Fall 2009
We have some exciting things to offer this fall! We hope these opportunities will encourage women in their relationship with the Lord and with other women. Below is a brief description of what is being planned; we hope that you will be able to join us.
Bible Study: Women’s Bible Study is a time to gather to study the Bible together. There will be discussion, study and prayer. It’s a wonderful time to learn and grow together. This year we are offering a study on Tuesday mornings and one on Saturday mornings. The descriptions of the studies are below.
I Corinthians – The Challenges of Life Together
Life among Christians can be great. But it can also be exasperating! The joys of fellowship too often give way to division and debate – arguments over such things as the correct form of worship and the place of charismatic gifts. In I Corinthians we see Christianity not as it was meant to be but as it often is, yet we also find practical advice for overcoming the challenges of life together.
Tuesday Mornings – 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. September 15th – December 8th

Cost: $7.00 (Childcare available for a small fee)
Believing God
Believing God: Experiencing a Fresh Explosion of Faith, by Beth Moore, is based on Isaiah 43:10 and explores what it means to not only believe in God but to believe Him.
Saturday Mornings – 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. September 19th – Springtime

Cost: $16.00

An Evening with Joyce Echem: Join us for an evening with Joyce Echem, one of Journey’s missionaries, and hear what the Lord is doing in the Philippines. This is a great opportunity to renew your friendship with Joyce or to get to know her for the first time! We will be having wonderful desserts, making bracelets to share the salvation message for the campers in the Philippines and hearing from Joyce.
Date: Monday, October 5th Time: 7:00 to 8:30pm
Cookies, Cocoa and Caroling: Plan to gather together for a relaxing evening of getting into the Christmas spirit. This has become an annual event that we look forward to.
